Thanksgiving Favorites

While celebrations may look and feel different this year, the Thanksgiving season is here. This holiday is very special to me. A sense of nostalgia seems to fill the air as classic recipes make their yearly appearance at the table. There is also the excitement of throwing in a new recipes here and there to change things up. My Thanksgiving dinners tend to be a mix of the old classics and some new favorites sprinkled in. That being said, I have decided to curate a list of some of my favorite recipes for this holiday. Some find a spot at the table every year, while some are one-hit wonders that made an appearance as a means “to change things up” and were a hit! I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I have and have a safe and healthy holiday! Cheers!

Spiced and Glazed Roast Turkey
I made this turkey for the first time last year, and I may never make a turkey another way again. It was easy and filled with flavor. When ordering my turkey, I asked the butcher to quarter the bird into four large pieces. While prep is a little more timely, the time it takes to cook the bird is greatly shortened, allowing you to focus on what truly matters, the sides.

Stuffing Butter
It’s butter that tastes like stuffing. What more do you need to know.

Three-Cheese Cauliflower Gratin
One of my favorite simple, cauliflower gratin recipes! I nice, cheesy addition to the table.

Crispy Cheese with Honey and Pistachio
Make this appetizer and make it often. You will be loved for it.

Classic Giblet Stuffing
(Tip: my mother also adds applesauce). We do not make stuffing any other way at Thanksgiving. My mother refuses. This is a must.

Chrissy Teigen’s Cheesy Green Bean Casserole
A fun twist on classic favorite! And yes, I agree that canned condensed soup is necessary. No shame here.

Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots
Sweet, salty, buttery carrot love. A perfect addition to the menu.

Thanksgiving Sangria
I love making a batch of Thanksgiving Sangria every year. I often change of the recipe, as there are many ways you can make this cocktail festive. This recipe includes many of the ingredients I have added over the years as well as some fun additions.

Easy Sweet Potato Casserole
Yes, this recipe calls for canned yams. This is the only way my mother will make this recipe and it is a staple at our dinner.

Tyler Florence Mashed Potato Hack
Boil your potatoes in cream, garlic and herbs? Yes. YES!
